Jeff Rindskopf has made a nice little list of neo-noir films over at CheatSheet.com. This is a great little list and if you are only going to pick 7 films these are all good choices. It is more of a beginner’s list, if you will or a great place to start for new fans of the genre. Check it out and see what you think:

As you say, though, this is a beginners’ list. Most of us (you included) have progressed a bit beyond this.

Thanks for pointing me to the article. I like his opening definition of noir; it sets up his list welt.
One question: Where is Bound?

I thought he did a good job of touching on some of the top directorial talent in this, but missed Nolan and Fincher too. One for each of those directors would have been nice.
